Lord Narasimha Puja's Details

Deity: Lord Narasimha (an incarnation of Vishnu Ji), the half-man, half-lion protector

About the Puja: The story of Narasimha is one of the most loved in Hindu scripture. The demon king Hiranyakashipu had earned a boon. No one could kill him. Not by man or beast. Not by day or night. Not indoors or outdoors. Not by any weapon. He tormented his own son Prahlada, a devoted bhakta of Vishnu. When he struck a pillar at twilight, Vishnu burst forth as Narasimha. Neither man nor beast. At the threshold between day and night. And he tore the demon apart.

Narasimha is the protector who appears when nothing else has worked. He is worshipped by those facing impossible odds, hidden enemies, dark forces, or situations where ordinary remedies have failed. Our verified Vedic priests chant the Narasimha Kavacham, the protective hymn composed by Prahlada himself. Specific mantras and havan offerings follow. Muhurat is taken fresh from the Panchang. Book Lord Narasimha Puja with us, and we handle the full vidhi.

Vishnu Sahasranam Katha

Pandit Vishwanath Shastri

Brihaspati Temple, Dashashwamedh

"The Vishnu Sahasranamam is the thousand names of Lord Vishnu. Drawn from the Anushasana Parva of the Mahabharata, it was first recited by Bhishma Pitamah as he lay on his bed of arrows after the great war. Yudhishthira asked him for guidance on dharma. Bhishma's answer was the thousand names of Vishnu. The text is one of the most beloved prayers in the entire Hindu tradition. Each name carries a specific power. Each name is a doorway to a different aspect of Vishnu's grace. To recite the Vishnu Sahasranamam is to walk through all thousand doorways at once."

Vishnu Yajna and Purash Sukta Path

Pandit Vishwanath Shastri

Tridev Temple

"This is a combined puja that brings together the Purusha Sukta hymn (the Rigvedic prayer to the cosmic being) and a full Vishnu Yajna. The Purusha Sukta is one of the oldest and most sacred Vedic hymns, describing the cosmic Purusha from whom the universe emerges. When it is recited alongside a Vishnu Yajna, the energy is multiplied. The cosmic prayer is anchored in the sacred fire. The offerings reach Vishnu directly through the flames. This is one of the most powerful Vishnu pujas in the entire Vedic tradition."

Shree Vishnu Ji Vishesh Seva

Pandit Vishwanath Shastri

Bindu Madhav Temple, Panch Ganga Ghat, the principal seat of Vishnu Ji in Kashi

"Deity: Shree Vishnu Ji, the preserver of the whole world About the Puja: Kind beyond measure, Vishnu Ji blesses his devotees with abundance in every part of life. Yet the karma of this birth, and of births before it, brings challenges to every soul. The path through them is his forgiveness. Devotees pray to his large-heartedness to dissolve the weight of past karma. His worship holds one unbreakable rule. It is incomplete without tulsi, the leaf dearest to him of all offerings. This Vishesh Seva carries that prayer, made simple and affordable. Before the offering, the devotee takes a sankalp after bathing, asking Vishnu Ji to accept the seva. Our verified Vedic priests then make the offerings of tulsi, panchamrit, and yellow flowers, chanting the devotee's name and gotra so the blessings flow directly to them. Book Shree Vishnu Ji Vishesh Seva with us, and we handle the full vidhi."

Shree Purusha Sukta Path and Yajna

Pandit Vishwanath Shastri

Tridev Temple

"The Purusha Sukta is one of the most ancient and sacred hymns in the Rigveda. It describes the Purusha, the cosmic being, from whose body the entire universe is created. The sky is his head. The earth is his feet. The sun is his eye. The hymn is the foundation of Vedic philosophy itself, and is recited at every major yajna across the Hindu tradition. The Purusha Sukta is considered the supreme prayer to Vishnu in his cosmic form. To have it recited as a focused path with yajna is to align the family's life with the cosmic order itself."

Mauni Amavasya Vrat and Katha

Pandit Vishwanath Shastri

Ganga Ghat

"Mauni Amavasya is the new moon of the month of Magha. The word mauni means "the one who keeps silence." On this day, devotees observe a sacred fast, refrain from speech, and meditate in silence by the Ganga. Tradition holds that on this day, the sage Manu was born, the first ancestor of humanity. The day also falls during the holiest stretch of Magha Mela. Devotees bathe in the Ganga, worship the Pipal tree, and silently pray for the cleansing of every sin from this life and from past lives."

Brihaspati (Guru) Dosh Nivaran Puja

Pandit Vishwanath Shastri

Navagrah Temple

"Jupiter is the most benefic of all planets in Vedic astrology. The great teacher. The cosmic father. He governs wisdom, righteousness, faith, marriage, and children. When Jupiter shines strong, life expands naturally. Partnerships form. Families grow. Wealth flows. When he is afflicted, the very things he is meant to bring become hard to receive. Marriage delays for no clear reason. Children do not come. Wisdom feels just out of reach when decisions matter most. The devotee senses the door that Jupiter normally opens is somehow shut."
