Deity: The Panchang Peeth Dev and the Saptarishi

About the Puja: Upanayan is the sacred thread ceremony. It is one of the sixteen great sanskars of Hindu life. It marks a boy's start on the path of learning. The word means to lead the child near to the guru. On this day the boy first wears the janeu thread. The thread holds three strands of deep meaning. The rite gives him the sacred Gayatri Mantra. It is seen as a second birth into a learned life. The worship honours the Saptarishi, the seven sages. Vasant Panchami is a favoured day for this rite. Done in Kashi, the sanskar carries the highest merit.

Our verified Vedic priests perform the sanskar with the prescribed mantras. They honour the Saptarishi and make the offerings. The rite follows the full Vedic vidhi. This sanskar needs the physical presence of the boy, as the janeu is placed on him and the Gayatri Mantra is given to him directly, so family and elders attend with him in Kashi. Families book this puja for the learning, discipline, and bright future of the child. Muhurat is taken fresh from the Panchang. Book Upanayan Sanskar with us, and we handle the full vidhi.
