Deity: Lord Ganpati, the Panchang Dev, and your Ishta Devta

About the Puja: Naamkaran is the naming of a newborn child. It is one of the sixteen sacred sanskars of Hindu life. The rite is done in the first weeks after birth. The shastras lay down how the name should be chosen. The birth star and the Panchang guide the right sound. A good name is said to shape the child's path. The rite seeks blessings for the child's whole life. The worship begins with Ganpati to clear all blocks. The Panchang Dev and the Ishta Devta are honoured for grace. Family and elders gather to bless the new name. Done in Kashi, the rite carries the highest merit.

Our verified Vedic priests perform the sanskar with the prescribed mantras. They begin with Ganpati and make the offerings in order. The rite follows the full vidhi. This sanskar needs the physical presence of the child, as the chosen name is spoken into the child's ear during the rite, so parents, elders, and family attend with the child in Kashi. Families book this puja for the health, fortune, and bright future of the child. Muhurat is taken fresh from the Panchang. Book Naamkaran Sanskar Puja with us, and we handle the full vidhi.
