New Year Group Puja
"The Vedic tradition never begins anything important without a sankalp, and no sankalp is larger than a whole year. This group puja takes that sankalp on the first day of the year, in Kashi. Ganesh Ji is worshipped first, as he must be, to clear the path of the twelve months ahead. Vishnu Ji is invoked to preserve and carry every undertaking. Lakshmi Mata is invoked for prosperity through the year. The Navagraha are pacified so that no planetary period turns a good year sour. The worship closes with the Panch Devta, the five deities of the Panchayatana tradition, Ganesh, Vishnu, Shiva, Devi, and Surya, whose combined presence leaves no direction unguarded."

"Sundarkand is the most loved part of the Ramayan. Its name means the beautiful chapter. It tells of Hanuman's leap across the sea to Lanka. He went to find Mata Sita, held by Ravana. He crossed the ocean, found her, and gave her Ram's ring. He then burned Lanka and returned with hope. The whole chapter sings of his courage and faith. Of all the Ramayan, this part holds the most power. Its path is said to clear trouble and fear. It brings strength, wisdom, and the grace of Hanuman. Devotees recite it to defeat enemies and gain peace."
Jivitputrika Vrat Katha
"Jivitputrika is a sacred fast for the welfare of children. Mothers keep it for the long life of their sons. It is also known as Jitiya or Jiutiya. Its deity is Jimutvahan, a noble and selfless prince. The shastras tell how he gave his own life to save another. He offered himself in place of a young serpent. His sacrifice moved the gods to grant him grace. Mothers worship him for the safety of their children. They keep a strict fast without food or water. The vrat is said to guard the child from harm. It brings long life and joy to the family."
Anannt Chaturdashi Vrat Katha
"Anant Chaturdashi is a holy day of Lord Vishnu. The word anant means the one without end. On this day devotees worship Vishnu in his endless form. They tie a sacred thread of fourteen knots on the wrist. This thread is called the Anant Sutra. Each knot stands for one of the worlds Vishnu holds. The shastras tell how the Pandavas kept this vrat. It returned to them all they had lost in their hard years. The vrat grants protection, plenty, and the grace of Vishnu. It also marks the farewell of Lord Ganesh in many homes. Devotees keep it with fasting and faith."
Haritalika Teej Vrat Katha
"Haritalika Teej is a sacred fast for women. It honours the union of Lord Shiva and Mata Parvati. The shastras tell how Parvati won Shiva as her husband. She did fierce penance to gain his hand. Her friend took her to the forest to help her resolve. The word Haritalika comes from that very tale. Married women keep this fast for the long life of their husband. Unmarried girls keep it to gain a good groom. They fast without food or water through the day. They worship Shiva and Parvati and hear the sacred katha. The vrat brings married joy and good fortune."
