The Hanuman temple at Connaught Place, New Delhi is believe to be one of the ancient temple of India and claimed to be one of the five temples existing from the Mahabharata day. It is believe that when Aurangzeb, the ruler from Muslim dynasty has asked Tulsidas to perform a miracle, which he did with the benedictions of Lord Hanuman. Pleased by Tulsidas, Aurangzeb presented him with a crescent moon which is there on the temple top today. Due to this reason it is said that the temple was not destroyed by the Muslim rulers. This temple is believe to the self-manifestation of Lord Hanuman. The idol in the temple is worshiped as Shree Hanuman Ji Maharaj. Tuesday and Saturday are the special days for Lord Hanuman and devotees gather here to seek the blessings from Hanuman. Lord hanuman is praised by the devotees as he is believed to be the protector and people having Sani dosh or malefic from planet Saturn pray to Lords Hanuman to get the beneficial effect. Tuesday and Saturday are special days for Hanuman and Hanuman Jayanti is celebrated here every year during the Chaitra maas.
